Landscape Painting HCC (extended Learning)
A watermedia class (watercolor, gouache, egg tempera and acrylic). This class is a comprehensive focus of exercises and practice of Landscape painting from the French Impressionists through current practice in plein air painting. We will look at the work of the Hudson River painters and California Impressionists as well as the growth and popularity of plein air painting in America through slide lectures and painting exercises in class. Understand the theory and practice of color and illusory depth as used in landscape painting. Develop a palette of colors related to your interests and subjects.
